High school football ROCKS! My little boy decided to join football this year. Although he is a senior and will only have this one season, it has been really good for him. He has become ''one of the guys''. It does a mother's heart good to see her baby involved in a team like this one. The boys are all good kids. I don't think there's a bully among them. Many of them seem to go out of their way to help out the younger kids in the school and ''protect'' them from the few bullies that are at our small school. GO FALCONS!
The coolest thing happened today! I heard a noise that sounded like a gigantic bee. I turned to see what it was and it was a hummingbird! It was a couple feet from me flying level with my head. It just hovered there for a few seconds and then flew away!. I haven't seen a hummingbird at my house in a couple of years!
I am grateful for blackberries! Maybe that sounds silly, but I have a small patch of blackberry bushes and I just love going out and picking them. It's like a treasure hunt!
I am so glad we have local libraries. The local village library is great and the staff is sooo friendly!
I am Grateful for the words "baba ghanoush"! It is a food made from eggplants and tahini (another fun word!), but it is soooooo fun to say!
I am thankful for babies laughing. If you are ever in a funk, search YouTube for baby laugh. You cannot feel bad when you see and/or hear babies giggle!
